What Happens When You Die - Learning Life Lessons From Death

Yes, you read right? What will happen when you die? Family and friends will cry, life insurance will be paid and then what?

What will the world miss when you die?
The world will miss some powerful books and teachings because Myles Munroe died.
The world will miss some great pop songs because ‘the King of Pop’ died.
The world wept when Mandela died, when Maya Angelou died, when Martin Luther was killed.
“So when I die”… the statement that is a taboo to mention!
But why?

Do you know what death does?

Death exposes all you lived for.

Death shows how much you lived, how much you gave and how far you were willing to sacrifice for better

Death tells us just how much your life was worth in the first place.

Apostle Paul had no doubts of the worth and work of his life and that is why he was able to talk about death not as some scary ‘never-to-be-mentioned’ topic.
You are scared to die because you are living like a coward
You are scared to die because you are wasting your life
You are too embarrassed to die because then we will know how you actually lived
You are too unprepared to die because you turn a blind eye to eternity while you live but you know when you die it will all catch up with you
You are too afraid to die because you have not prepared to for it.

Prepare for death! Yes you heard me right!

Prepare your spirit!

so that it transcends into a place of rest in heaven, God’s heaven, the one Jesus taught about. Not that heaven on earth nonsense they speak of these days. Not the one you are told exists here and now. Not the one which encourages you to spend your life to the extent of wasting it.

Prepare your body!

Prepare your body so you don’t show up too early for that appointment in heaven. Prepare your body, it is the vehicle with which you will work until you get there. Prepare your body, It is what carries your spirit. Take care of your body, it is what signs your contract with death. Once your body signs, death can enforce.

Prepare your soul!

This is what outlives you. Prepare your mind. No! don’t prepare it, empty it!
Empty your mind. Think up all the ground-breaking, world-saving ideas while they still count.
Empty your emotions. Do all the loving now, do all the caring now, do all the kindness now, do all the discipline now, do all now. Now that you can,

Empty your intellect. Why so lazy? Earth is not in short supply of people to use up her oxygen. She has about seven billion other people. If that’s all you are doing for her, you are ‘dead’ to her.

I’m not dying yet, I have a long way ahead. A fruitful life to live and millions of lives to touch.
So now here’s a question for you. What is your life plan beyond your insurance?
